christmas card sayingsChristmas cards, holiday cards, Hannukah Cards, they all usually have some messages inside of them. Some of them are cute, some of them are cheesy, some of them are for the religious, some are funny and some actually have some sayings to live by. The Christmas Card sayings to live by are the ones that don’t just apply at Christmas. Often times the idea of giving and the whole peace on earth thing is only really practiced or remembered during the holiday season. How cool would it be though if we applied this every day of the year? I mean that’s what the holidays is all about but that is also what life is about, for the most part.

Here are some Christmas card sayings to live by:

  • “There are those who give with joy, and that joy is their reward.” —Kahlil Gibran
  • “Joy is prayer. Joy is strength. Joy is love. Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls.”  —Mother Teresa
  • “As we struggle with shopping lists and invitations, compounded by December’s bad weather, it is good to be reminded that there are people in our lives who are worth this aggravation, and people to whom we are worth the same.”     – Donald E. Westlake
  • “It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future.  It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace.”      – Agnes M. Pharo
  • “May your walls know joy, may every room hold laughter, and every window open to great possibility.”      – Mary Anne Radmacher
  • “Every piece of the universe, even the tiniest little snow crystal, matters somehow. I have a place in the pattern, and so do you. Thinking of you this holiday season!”     – T.A. Barron
  • “Blessed is the season which engages the whole world in a conspiracy of love.”      – Hamilton Wright Mabie
  • “This is my wish for you: peace of mind, prosperity through the year, happiness that multiplies, health for you and yours, fun around every corner, energy to chase your dreams, joy to fill your holidays!”     – D.M. Dellinger
  • “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart. Wishing you happiness.”      – Helen Keller

The point of all of these Christmas card sayings, while they are to wish everyone a happy holiday season is to put in perspective what life is really all about. As the holiday seasons arrives and the actual celebrations with family and friends it is good to remember that life is what we make it. That we get to have these wonderful experiences during this time of year with the people we love the most. This is something we should cherish every day of the year instead of only during the holiday season. Peace, love, happiness, giving, and joy don’t have to be once a year, they can be all year. Christmas spirit in July? Definitely! Christmas spirit all year long? Necessity.
